One considered course takes you from Reiki history and first self-practice to confident, traditional sessions with real recipients.
No prior experience needed
Self-paced learning with meaningful milestones
One course · a complete progression
Depth comes from practice, reflection, ethics and real experience—not from rushing toward a title. Your next stage opens only when the work behind it is complete.
Begin with your own relationship to Reiki, build the skill to offer thoughtful sessions to others, then refine advanced techniques for real-world practice.

Learn consent-led sessions, traditional symbols, distance practice and professional boundaries.

Just for today
Standards, not shortcuts
Reiki has no single government licensing body in the United States. That makes transparent requirements, thoughtful feedback and ethical practice especially important.
Documented practiceSelf-treatment, work with others and reflective session logs.
Demonstrated understandingModule assignments, knowledge checks and technique application across all three stages.
Meaningful integrationTime between milestones to practice what you learn.
Clear scope of practiceNo diagnosis, cure promises or replacement for medical care.
Three ceremonial milestones
In Reiki tradition, attunement is a spiritual initiation received through intention and focused practice. The Academy’s distance method lets prepared students enter that ceremony wherever they are, once each stage is complete.
Complete the stage requirements, preparation lesson and quieting practice.
Enter a self-guided ceremony held within Master Tanaka’s prepared intention.
Follow a 7-, 14- or 21-day practice and reflection period before advancing.
A spiritual tradition, described with care. Attunement is presented as an Academy belief and ceremonial Reiki practice—not as a scientifically established energy transfer. Individual experiences vary.
Everything in one enrollment
A complete learning environment designed to support the path—not just a library of videos.
Detailed explanations, demonstrations and technique laboratories across 24 sequential modules.
Self-Reiki, module assignments, recipient-session logs, observed competency rubrics and cumulative assessment.

Meet your course guide
Master Hiro Tanaka is the course guide and named signatory for the final Reiki Master Practitioner completion credential.
The Academy curriculum returns to four foundations at every stage: consistent practice, informed consent, honest scope and service without grand promises.
An earned, verifiable credential
Stage Two records your practitioner milestone. After all 24 modules, 83 lessons, module assignments, real-recipient practice logs, observed competency assessments, final practicum and attunement are complete, your named Master Practitioner certificate is issued automatically with a public verification ID.
These are private, academy-issued certificates of course completion. They are not healthcare licenses or government-regulated professional qualifications.

Questions, answered clearly
Still wondering whether the course fits? Write to the Academy.
It is one Stripe enrollment for a 24-module, 83-lesson program with three progressive stages. Each stage opens after its lessons, module assignments, practice, assessment and attunement requirements are complete.
The guided curriculum is approximately 89 hours. Plan for about 16–24 weeks, plus the time needed for self-practice, real-recipient sessions, assignments and integration milestones; the pathway is intentionally not compressed into a weekend.
After completing each stage, you follow a preparation and self-guided ceremony within Master Tanaka’s prepared intention, followed by a 7-, 14- or 21-day integration practice. This is taught as an Academy spiritual tradition; experiences are individual.
Reiki is not governed by one central accrediting or licensing authority in the United States. You earn a private Reiki Master Academy completion certificate backed by defined coursework, practice, assessment and attunement—not a healthcare license.
Yes. Practitioner and Master Practitioner milestones include documented sessions with consenting adult recipients and independently observed competency work. The course teaches hands-on and hands-off options, traditional techniques, complete session structure, positioning adaptations and accessibility modifications.
No. The course presents Reiki as a complementary spiritual and wellbeing practice. Students are taught not to diagnose, promise cures or advise anyone to delay qualified medical or mental-health care.
Stage Two completion records the Academy’s Reiki Practitioner milestone. Completing all 24 modules and 83 lessons, every module assignment, the required recipient sessions, observed competency assessments, final practicum and Reiki Master attunement automatically issues a downloadable, publicly verifiable Master Practitioner completion certificate.
