Privacy policy.

Information we collect

When you create an account, we collect your name, email address and a securely hashed version of your password. As you study, we store course progress, quiz and assignment results, reflections, practice and integration entries, attunement milestones, practicum evidence and certificate records. Students are instructed to keep recipient evidence de-identified and not enter another person’s private medical information.

We also retain limited technical information needed to operate sessions, prevent abuse and troubleshoot the service, such as session identifiers, request timing and basic device or browser information.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. Reiki Master Academy receives transaction identifiers, payment status, customer identifiers and limited billing details needed to confirm enrollment, provide billing access, handle refunds or disputes and keep financial records. We do not receive or store your complete payment-card number or security code. Stripe handles payment information under its own privacy policy.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics to understand visits, page use and general engagement. Google may process cookie identifiers, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser details, and interaction information. Google’s handling of this information is described in its privacy policy. The Academy also uses an essential session cookie to keep students signed in and protect access to paid course material.

How we use information

• Provide accounts, course access, progress tracking, assessments and certificates.
• Confirm payment, respond to refunds or disputes and provide billing support.
• Protect the service, prevent unauthorized access and investigate technical problems.
• Understand site performance and improve course navigation and content.
• Respond to questions, privacy requests and account-support messages.
• Meet applicable accounting, legal and recordkeeping obligations.

Service providers and disclosure

Information is shared only as needed with service providers that operate the Academy, including Hostinger for website hosting, Stripe for payments and Google Analytics for measurement. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect students or the service, or as part of a legitimate business transfer. We do not sell student account information.

Retention and security

Account, learning and certificate records are retained while needed to provide the course and verify credentials. Payment and administrative records may be kept longer when required for accounting, disputes or legal obligations. We use HTTPS, password hashing, signed sessions, access controls and payment-webhook verification. Password-reset links are single-use, expire after 30 minutes and are stored only in hashed form. No online service can promise absolute security.

Your choices

You may ask to access, correct or delete eligible personal information, or request help closing an account. Some transaction, security and certificate records may need to be retained for legitimate or legal reasons. Browser settings and privacy tools can limit nonessential analytics cookies, although blocking the essential sign-in cookie will prevent use of the student portal.

Age and international use

The Academy is intended for adults aged 18 and over. Information may be processed in countries where our service providers operate, subject to their safeguards and applicable law.
